Rithika Pandey has a nomadic practice that is routed somewhere between her home in India and the UK. Drawing from the personal, mythological and scientific, Pandey foregrounds issues around displacement, futurity and femininity.

Her boldly coloured and symbolically charged works imagine alternate worlds rooted in the ethos of adventure, transformation and recovery. Her research and practice engage with myth, ecology & science fiction to propose new intimacies between the human and more-than-human, intricately woven together in ritualized dynamism. Occupied by empowered, inquisitive protagonists in impossible landscapes that move between the domesticated and wild, her works blend future-thinking capacities with spiritual contexts to open up allegorical possibilities going beyond the apocalypse as an endpoint.
